Samantha came to Stratus Restaurant after completing her Psychology degree at McMaster University, followed by four years of teaching English in Africa and Asia. While planning charity events for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, she found a love for the field and turned to event planning as a career.
She has worked for the Cambridge Group of Clubs as the Events Director for Stratus Restaurant since 2011, where she has enjoyed years of leading a fantastic team in running some of the city’s most prestigious events.
Working with clients ranging from the CEOs of banks to excited brides planning their weddings has created a wealth of experience ensuring events of all kinds are executed flawlessly to each individual clients’ tastes. Her greatest pride comes from the rave reviews following each event when clients praise the great venue, food, service, and planning process they’ve experienced at Stratus. This has consistently secured Stratus as one of the top restaurants in Toronto to hold an event amongst the Bay Street crowd, as they know they will receive completely undivided attention from Samantha during the planning process.
Making her clients happy makes it a very worthwhile and enjoyable place for her to work and she is excited to continue to create amazing event experiences for each of her clients here at Stratus in the future!
