What we're doing to help keep you safe

While we aim to reopen Stratus Restaurant as soon as possible, the safety of our members and staff remains our top priority. Although the Stratus team has always maintained rigorous safety and cleaning standards, we are now enhancing our cleaning and safety protocols to align with Health Canada, Ontario Ministry of Health, and the City of Toronto's COVID-19 guidelines. Please note that all procedures outlined below are subject to change based on the aforementioned guidelines.

Our Staff

  • Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) staff are all required to complete self-assessments before every shift and submit these to management to be catalogued
  • Team will self-monitor daily before and during their shifts for signs and symptoms of illness, and report to management for further recommendations set forth by the Ministry of Health
  • Stratus staff are required to wear a medical grade mask at all times and keep close contact to guests at a minimum
  • Kitchen staff are required to wear and frequently change medical grade gloves
  • All staff are required to follow handwashing protocols as set by the Ontario Ministry of Health

Entry Checkpoint

  • Online reservations are required for all restaurant visits to ensure adherence to COVID-19 capacity guidelines and will be available on our website, social media, and Open Table portal
  • All members and guests must check-in with staff upon entry
  • Guests will be asked to hand sanitize and confirm everyone in the party has a mask prior to entering the restaurant
  • Staff will require all guests to record their names and contact information at check-in
  • Host will briefly inform guests of the traffic direction and washroom location, before guiding guests to their table

Table Service

  • Stratus will be operating at a reduced capacity and/or in accordance with provincial occupancy guidelines
  • Groups will be seated six feet apart
  • A maximum of 10 people will be permitted at each table
  • Each table will be deep cleaned and sanitized between use
  • Digital menus are available on our website and accessible through QR code at each table. We will have single-use menus available for your convenience

Payment Options

  • We strongly encourage all guests to use contactless and electronic payment

Monday – Friday:

Breakfast: 7:00am - 10:30am
Lunch: 11:30am - 2:30pm
Dinner: 3:30pm - 9:00pm

  • Take away options will be available Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 8:00pm
  • Smoothie service will be offered all day

Vaccine Policy

  • All of our staff is double vaccinated.

Cleaning & Sanitation

  • All staff will have received comprehensive training on COVID-19 safety and cleaning protocols which meet and exceed federal guidelines
  • Stratus will be extensively deep cleaned each night prior to reopening the following day, including electrostatic disinfecting
  • Our team will be cleaning the restaurant throughout the day using cleaning products that are Health Canada approved for effective use against bacteria and viruses including COVID-19
  • Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the restaurant
  • Washrooms will be sanitized every 15 minutes

Air Quality

  • All Base Building air filters have been replaced with the recommended rated MERV 13/14
  • Increased concentration of outdoor air and/or extended operating hours of the building’s ventilation systems where possible
  • A 100% fresh air flush or dilution each morning
  • Exhaust fan operation extended to 24/7
